Product detailed description
CHEM-WELD 3406 - Cobalt electrode for high temperatures, suitable for valve welding
Cobalt-based Stellite 6 electrode, alloyed with chromium and tungsten.
Resistant to all types of wear - heat, shock, corrosion and abrasion.
Cobalt series electrode with the highest impact resistance. Suitable for operating temperatures up to +500°C.
Resistant to adhesive wear, metal-to-metal friction. Usual material preheating 250-400°C.
Excellent for completing missing material, e.g. corners, minimal dilution with base metal. Has the ability to cover large areas without cracking. Retains hardness at high temperatures. Welds are machinable. Use in the iron and steel industry. Welding of shear knives in forges, welding of dies, stamps, screw feeders, repair of hot glass cutting tools, crushing hammers, water turbines, blade arms and mixer shafts, debarking knives in the woodworking industry, cutting blades in resistance welding. For all applications where good resistance to heat, impact, corrosion and abrasion is required.

Společnost CHEM-WELD byla založena v Rakousku roku 1967 panem Siegfriedem Schweigerem.
Název CHEM-WELD znamená spojení chemie a svařování.
Prvním výrobkem bylo speciální lepidlo na kov Chem-Stahl 1000 HT, které nahrazovalo svařování v dolech JAR.
