CHEM-WELD 2800 Forming paste - weld root protection

Simple and economical to use, saves on moulding gas costs, suitable even for small diameter pipes, reduces downstream cleaning costs for opal. Reduces oxidation on the inside of the weld, reduces rust, also protects the root safely during stitching. When using the paste, the ignition is uniform even when the weld is inaccurately adhered. Provides protection for the fusion bath, reduces material burn-through, aids in controlled weld penetration. No shielding gas is required when using forming paste . If a better appearance is required, protective gas is necessary.

It is suitable for all types of TIG, MIG, coated electrode welding.

Mix 0.45 Kg of powder with 170-200 g (0.13-0.16 l) of methyl alcohol (alcohol) and stir until a paste suitable for application is formed. Allow the paste to stand for a few minutes to allow the desired reaction to take place. Apply sufficient paste to the inside of the joint. If possible, apply the paste in thin layers also on the welded edges before stitching.

Intended use: for stainless chromium-nickel steels up to a maximum content of 25% nickel

Never use CHEM-WELD 2800 forming paste on materials containing more than 25% Nickel! Do not store in porcelain or glass containers! Do not use in food processing!
