Product detailed description
CHEM-WELD 6000
Special electrode for cold welding of grey and tempered cast iron
Weld metal and transition area are grindable. Minimal current required, high ductility, weldable in all positions, easy to weld even with small transformers. Extremely flat welds are free of ignition notches. Suitable for grey cast iron, fusion of these base materials with steel, copper and copper alloy, also for oxidised and oiled cast iron.
For engine and cylinder blocks, oil sumps, bearing supports, gears and sprockets, drums, turbine blades, materials according to DIN 1961, e.g. GG 10 - GG 35.
When welding grey cast iron, 3 basic rules must be observed:
1.
(1 to 3 cm - the length of the caterpillar should approximately correspond to the thickness of the part to be welded)
2. immediately after welding, always use a round (blunt) nose hammer (tool)
- never with a sharp tool
3. Lay the next caterpillar in a moment,
when we keep our bare hand on the weld.
ADVANTAGES
Welding without preheating
also suitable for transformer
for joining different steels
DISADVANTAGES
does not have
It is necessary to follow the technological procedure when welding cast iron.

Společnost CHEM-WELD byla založena v Rakousku roku 1967 panem Siegfriedem Schweigerem.
Název CHEM-WELD znamená spojení chemie a svařování.
Prvním výrobkem bylo speciální lepidlo na kov Chem-Stahl 1000 HT, které nahrazovalo svařování v dolech JAR.
