WT 20 - thorium 2% ThO2
WT - thorium content causes a reduction in output work and an increase in electron emission. With increasing thorium content, ignition properties, durability, current carrying capacity improve. The main use of these electrodes is in DC welding of high alloy and stainless steels, where they exhibit excellent properties. Thorium is a radioactive element. The radioactivity of these electrodes increases with increasing Thorium content!
We recommend replacing with a universal grey tungsten lectrode.
