Product detailed description
CHEM-WELD 610 W
TIG wire Gr. 1 for welding titanium alloys
TIG titanium welding wire grade 1 (cleanest grade) non-alloyed, high ductility, excellent weldability. The weld is ductile and has excellent corrosion resistance in oxidizing environments. Its purity and corrosion resistance make it suitable for many applications.
For medium strength unalloyed titanium e.g. 3.7035, for titanium grades 1, 2, 3 and 4 (grades 2, 3 and 4 have different mechanical properties), TIG and plasma welding. For welding of pure titanium components and structures, cryogenic and petrochemical industries, for welding of materials resistant to water, seawater and corrosive acids such as chlorine and sodium chloride, for heat exchangers, for high temperature applications. Ideal for aerospace, marine and chemical applications.
When welding, it is necessary to ensure perfect protection of the weld joint, the root and the weld surroundings. Welding is carried out with a preheating temperature of 100-150°C. After welding it is recommended to anneal the joints to reduce internal stresses (600°C).
Standard:
AWS 5.16: ER Ti-1
EN ISO 24034: STi-0100
DIN 1737: SG Ti 1
Protective gas: Argon

Společnost CHEM-WELD byla založena v Rakousku roku 1967 panem Siegfriedem Schweigerem.
Název CHEM-WELD znamená spojení chemie a svařování.
Prvním výrobkem bylo speciální lepidlo na kov Chem-Stahl 1000 HT, které nahrazovalo svařování v dolech JAR.
