Product detailed description
CHEM-WELD 3700
Wax electrode without preheating
After welding, the work hardens to 560 HV by shock.
Application examples:
Repair of anvils, hammers, hammers, strikers, armour plates, crusher plates, hydraulics, backing layer for harder welds, for welding of crusher rollers, plates, excavator teeth, rails, soft parts of heart shapes, for welding of intermediate layers under subsequent welding of chromium carbide alloyed welds. Also suitable for butt welding of hard manganese steels.

CHEM-WELD 3700 Electrode for welding parts subjected to pressure and impact. Self-hardening. |

Standard: DIN 8555: E 7 -UM-250-KP |
One of the toughest electrodes. The weld metal is a fully austenitic Mn-Cr alloy. The weld is crack resistant and exhibits high resistance to pressure and impact. After welding it is chip-machinable (hardness only 260 HB ca. 25 HRC), but after stressing it will self-harden up to 560 HV (ca. 52 HRC). Applicable up to +500°C. This electrode does not need preheating or a backing layer, which makes it suitable for repairing extremely stressed heart blocks in track, strikers, strengthening and armouring plates, crushers, hydraulics, repairing anvils, or as a backing layer for harder welds. E.g. for welding of crushing rollers, plates, hammers, excavator teeth, rails, soft parts of heart plates, for welding of intermediate layers under the subsequent welding of chromium carbide alloyed coatings. Also suitable for cushioning and joining hard manganese steels. |

Společnost CHEM-WELD byla založena v Rakousku roku 1967 panem Siegfriedem Schweigerem.
Název CHEM-WELD znamená spojení chemie a svařování.
Prvním výrobkem bylo speciální lepidlo na kov Chem-Stahl 1000 HT, které nahrazovalo svařování v dolech JAR.
