CHEMSTAHL 1000 HT - two-component sealant

chemical steel - universal repair metal

For repairs of all kinds in industry, workshops, households. Binds materials firmly separately and together; joins metals, glass, wood, stone, eternit, plastic, hard rubber. It serves as a material for cementing, filling, joining, sealing and levelling. Resistant to high temperature (+ 200°C, max. + 280°C).

Two-component adhesive - hardener and steel powder. Mixing ratio 1:1. No fumes, no solvents. CHEMSTAHL is machinable after curing, therefore no disassembly is necessary, no stress cracks, no fire or explosion hazard. The adhesive adheres to the surface due to chemical and physical bonding forces with the structure of the base material. This results in higher adhesion and cohesion.

Once cured it has similar properties to metal - very high strength. It can be drawn, filed, drilled, cut and ground.

It is non-corrosive, non-conductive, non-shrinking, wear resistant.

It is easy to machine and therefore very economical. Once cured, it is non-toxic and resists cold.

For renovation, repair and sealing

• Crack repairs on engine blocks, oil pans and housings
• Repair leaks in pipes, tanks, reservoirs
• Shaft, cylinder and pump refurbishments, exhaust repairs
• Pore sealing on cast iron and welded metals
• Filling lunkers and badly drilled holes
• Repairing corrosion and cavitation damage on turbines, planchettes and bodies
• Joining pipes in different diameters and materials
• Refurbishing damaged threads, repairing moulds for pulling and pushing machines, for repairs where welding is not allowed for safety reasons

This adhesive was the first product of CHEM-Weld. It was used in mines in South Africa where welding was not allowed for safety reasons.

Temperature resistance: +200°C, short-term +280°C

Chemically resistant to: oil, grease, petrol, water

Hardening to the touch: 2 hrs. Final cure: 24 hrs.

Packing: 500 g (sealant) + 500 g (hardener) = 1 kg

Packing: 125 g (sealant) + 125 g (hardener) = 250 g

Mixing ratio: 1:1 (by volume or weight)

Specific gravity: 2,74 g/cm3

Pressure limit: 100 N/mm2

Tensile strength: 40 N/mm2

Flexural strength: 90 N/mm2 E-modulus: 5000 N/mm2

Notch toughness: 5.7 J/cm2

Ball hardness: 650 HV

Shore Hardness: 85 HSh

P305+P351+P338 IN CASE OF EYE INJURY: Rinse gently with water for several minutes. Remove contact lenses if fitted and if they can be removed easily. Continue rinsing. P310 Call a doctor immediately. P362+P364 Remove contaminated clothing and wash before reuse. P391 Collect the leaked product. P501 Dispose of contents/packaging by handing over to an authorised waste handler or returning to supplier.
