Product detailed description
CHEM-WELD 3823
Tubular electrode with very high hardness already in the 1st layer
Hardness resistant up to 650°C and wear resistant to soil, sand, stone
- Suitable for welding carbon steels and grey cast irons without backing layer
- Welding on alloy steels and tool steels with backing layer e.g. CHEM-WELD 8200 or CHEM-WELD 8310 electrode
For cement works, blast furnaces, agriculture. For welding - mixing augers, mixer blades, packer teeth and blades, scrapers, crushing hammers, sieving grids, excavator teeth, pelleting machines.
Welding electrodes are designed for repairing and welding of highly stressed steels. Containing alloys (Chromium, Manganese, Vanadium, Tungsten, Titanium carbides... ) in such a proportion that the welding exhibits appropriate properties. They have high hardness and resist wear.
Why use a tubular electrode?
Hardness 64 HRC already in the 1st layer of the weld
With conventional hardeners, several layers of welding must be made before the final hardness is reached, because in each layer of the welding there is mixing with the base metal or with the previous layer. This increases the consumption of electrodes and the cost of the final coating. The tube electrodes are welded at very low currents and thus no mixing of metals occurs.

With one tubular electrode you can weld 80 to 100 cm of carbide
A yield of 195% means that from 100 kg of tubular electrodes
you can weld 95 kg of flux.
ADVANTAGES
high hardness already in the 1st layer
high durability
High temperature resistance
almost no slag
welding without preheating
DISADVANTAGES
does not have

Carburizing of carbon steels, grey cast iron without backing layer and without preheating, for alloy steels and tool steels (in this case use 8200 or 8310 electrode as backing layer). The coating is corrosion resistant and is temperature resistant up to 650°C.Suitable for brickworks, cement works, blast furnaces. Welding on crushing augers, mixer blades, packer teeth and blades, scrapers, crushing hammers, sieving grids, excavator teeth, pelleting machines. The coating contains Chromium, Vanadium and Niobium carbides, has high hardness and high resistance to abrasive wear, not suitable for too strong impact. Arc length from 2 to 5 mm electrode. The electrode is held perpendicular to the surface. Coat max. 2 to 3 layers with a total height of max. 10 mm. |

Společnost CHEM-WELD byla založena v Rakousku roku 1967 panem Siegfriedem Schweigerem.
Název CHEM-WELD znamená spojení chemie a svařování.
Prvním výrobkem bylo speciální lepidlo na kov Chem-Stahl 1000 HT, které nahrazovalo svařování v dolech JAR.
